OUR HISTORY.

Creative Expression – through music, art  and a passion for Community Engagement and Outreach.  With the target audience as black and brown individuals were the initial ingredients that led to the creation of the 1Life Collective in 2016. We were simply a group of friends with similar backgrounds, interests, and most importantly values. Our initial community imprint began in Trenton, New Jersey – the hometown to five of the six members of 1Life and our programming included amazing talent shows that attracted audiences from around the Tri-State area as well as back to school drives that sought to give back to those with limited resources and time.  

Now fast forward to 2020, when COVID-19 forced us to face some difficult challenges that included isolation and mental health. We as the 1Life Collective banded together during that time and we realized that our resilience and support was not always common place amongst our friends, family, and communities. We wanted to fill that void and expand the types our events to also focus on mental, spiritual, and physical health in our community. The 1Life Collective has been fortunate to be impactful the last 7 years and we look forward to what the future holds.
